It’s fantastic to see the progress we’ve made with our global alumni network since its launch in June 2018. The feedback we receive from our alumni is very positive and reinforces our ambition to continue to develop the network, for the benefit of our people past and present. For the future, my personal goal is to ensure we stay in contact with as many of our alumni as possible and, of course, provide important and useful benefits for the whole alumni community.

It’s had a huge impact on tourism, but I’m already seeing a greater appreciation for travel. There was already some consolidation before the pandemic, and I feel that COVID-19 has just worked as a catalyst to the existing changes in the travel industry. I’m really looking forward to what’s next.
I believe that our culture at Bird & Bird contributes a lot to the value of our global alumni network. As ‘One firm. Your firm.’, our alumni feel part of the community even after they leave, and we give them the opportunity to keep in touch with their former colleagues, either virtually or in person at our alumni parties. In our Helsinki office in October 2022, we celebrated together with our Alumni a Halloween party, which was a lot of fun!
Over four years at Bird & Bird, she led various projects before relocating to Malaysia, where she now lives.
